Low Voltage Flagpole Light - Installation Instructions

Parts Supplied:

Lamp Fixture with Bulb

Mounting Spike

Low Voltage Transformer with 3' cord & plug

12-2 Cable-50'

(2) Wire Nuts

Tools needed:

Screwdriver

Electrical Tape

Knife or Scissors

CAUTION: Failure to follow these instructions can result in PERSONAL INJURY!! Please read these instructions in its entirety before attempting to complete this process.

EASY INSTALLATION:

1. For use with mounting stake - Screw mounting stake to bottom of fixture. Push into the ground at desired location and recess stake below ground level.

2. For use with surface mount - Screw the surface mount base to bottom of fixture. Secure to surface using the supplied fasteners. Be sure to route the lead wire thru the opening in the bottom of the surface mount base.

3. Remove 1/2" outer jacket of material off 50' 12-2 lead wire.

4. Place and attach lead wires to transformer. Connecting (1) lead to the common tap and (1) lead to the 12V Output tap as shown.

5. Run your 50' 12-2 cable to the light fixture.

6. Splice and connect lead from fixture to 50' lead wire.

7. Secure splice using wire nuts provided.

8. Securely wrap connection with black electrical tape, not supplied. (Water tight connection is mandatory to insure reliability)

9. Mount transformer to wall and plug into receptacle.

10. Cover photo cell, power will be activated and light fixture will turn on after approximately 40 seconds.

11. You are finished! Remove the cover from the photo cell and light fixture turn off.

12. The photo cell can be operated in two (2) formats, using the switch on the rear of the transformer.
1. "AUTO" On at dusk and off at dawn.
2. Photocell can be used with electronic timer. For example, by placing position switch to "4H" the light will turn on at dusk and run for 4 hours there after. Run time can also be set for 6 or 8 hours, by adjusting the switch position.
